Arch Linux, a lightweight distribution for advanced users, has released verion 0.7.1 ("Noodle"). Arch Linux follows a K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) philosophy and is optomized for i686 processors. This new version completely replaces devfs with udev, has better hardware detection with lshwd or hwdetect, and features out-of-the-box initrd support.

I have some disagreements to Arch and their lack of CPAN in Perl, but I can fix some things for myself myself given that it's a great distro. Arch is one of the few Linux distributions that keeps me from using BSD everywhere.
